Plus, he was always a smart-mouthed asshole. I think he’s entitled to some crankiness. Oh no? Why not? He went through some pretty life-altering news in After Glow. And someone said to me, “What’s his problem? He shouldn’t be like this now.” He was kind of a cranky dick in Zero Regret. Heidi is one of my favorites because we’ve watched her grow so much and I just adore her.
